“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose.” — Dr. SeussWe absolutely love Dr. Seuss, and are sure you will also. Perfect for a couples get away, or to take the kids and pups. While it does have two beds and 4 seatbelts, the smaller bed is good for one large kid or two small ones. The best two features are the large slide out queen bed and a quiet, powerful diesel engine that gets an amazing 15-17 MPG! The Doc is the perfect size: spacious inside, but nimble enough to drive anywhere; my wife actually asks to take a turn driving :)We are an adventurous, mountain family who love to camp and travel, so we know just what you need for the perfect getaway. For us this is a little family run side business, so we try to add those special little touches you won't get from some big company. We only use organic, non-toxic, mostly homemade cleaning products just like we do in our own home, no stinky Lysol! This year we are trying some fun new add-ons to make your trip everything you have dreamed of. We always have camp chairs included at no charge. We are so thankful that you have taken the time to check out our families RV, and we look forward to meeting you and helping make your next trip, the best ever! What's includedWe do our best to provide everything you need for a wonderful trip. We provide all linens and towels and wash them with the same care, usually dried on our clothesline in the back yard. We provide dishes, utensils, cups, and even a Keurig coffee for those cozy mornings. We also have camping chairs for sitting around the campfire. RecommendationsWe love to take road trips, some planned, some spontaneous! We have always enjoyed the State Parks, and have found some really great ones just by accident. Many of our renters have made the journey to Yellowstone, and have said they loved the size of our rig for exploring without limits. We call our little family side business .....Long Way Around, and want to encourage you to take some time to explore!Colorado's four National Parks — Rocky Mountain, Mesa Verde, Great Sand Dunes and Black Canyon of the GunnisonOther things to noteCleaning: To keep costs down, please return the RV in the condition it was received. Please make sure the outside is clean including removing bugs. The inside will need a general wipe down, and floors swept. Please make sure the kitchen is clean and any dishes or utensils are put away. You are not required to wash linens or towels.Tanks: To keep costs down, please return all tanks at the same level as when received.

Meet your host, Ryan

Our family, loves living here in Colorado, spending as much time as possible adventuring outdoors! We have found RV's to be one of the best ways for our family to travel and explore. In the summer we enjoy camping, hiking, mountain bikes, dirt bikes and spending time around the campfire. In the winter we love to hike, snowmobile, ski and snowboard, often taking the RV! For us this little side business of renting RV's has been fun for our whole family. We have meet great people and even forged some new friendships, like Luke, Grace, and Rio from China! We hope you won't mind being greeted at the driveway by our two, often overly friendly pups, Ike and Sully, they think you are here just to meet them and throw the tennis ball. Either way we look forward to helping you create memories that last forever, and want to always encourage you when the opportunity arises........Take the Long Way Around!

Ryan provided a great overview of the RV and was able to answer any questions. The RV was easy to drive and the floorplan was excellent. We really loved it!

Absolutely awesome RV, trip and owner! We were in the RV for 8 days/nights as first time RV’ers and had a blast. Only a small hiccup (dead battery due to freezing temps), but Ryan helped take care of it pronto with very little interruption to the trip.

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
Like a hotel, we will always do our best to accommodate your needs, and we can usually be flexible with pick up times within reason, with good notice and communication. However, it may be hard to guarantee this far in advance, depending on our maintenance and rental schedules at any given time.

Q.Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
A.
We have lots of experience renting RVs, so don't worry about a thing. We will go over everything with you before you leave so you are comfortable. We will always be available during your trip for any questions, we always make sure to send along manuals and guides. One great resource to remember while staying at a campground is that you'll be surrounded by fellow campers who will be willing to help with any questions, as most RVs tend to be very similar.
