Meet your host, Brian

Member since 2022

My name is Brian and I love spending as much time as I can in the great outdoors of Alaska. I've been all over this great State in my RV's and during the summer nearly every weekend is spent camping somewhere on the Road System in Alaska with my family. From Fairbanks to Homer, Anchorage to Valdez, Denali to Tok, we've camped everywhere. We love to boondock but have stayed in campgrounds all over the State. We love to fish, hunt, hike, fat tire/mountain bike, and have just taken up paddle boarding! I love sharing our experiences with others so if you need any ideas on what to do or where to go, let me know!

We had a wonderful time renting Brian’s travel trailer. We spent three nights/four days in Denali National Park in mid September and stayed warm and dry the whole trip. The trailer worked perfectly and was super clean and comfortable. We’ll be renting from Brian again in the future.

Brian’s answer

Jim, thank you so much for letting us be a part of your Denali adventure. It was great meeting you and hope to see you again in the future! Thank you again for choosing our trailer.

Have a question?Get answers directly from the host

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
We try to be extremely flexible. If you pick up at our location we will try to meet your needs. Delivering the trailer is a bit more difficult but we try to be as accommodating as possible.

Q.Do I have to empty the tanks of the trailer before returning?
A.
Yes, we ask you to please empty both tanks on the trailer, as well as, fill the propane tank. If you don't want to empty the tanks, or fill the propane, we charge a fee to do it for you. Please see the pricing in the listing to see how much is charged.

Q.Why can't I Offroad your RV/Trailer?
A.
This is a question that was hard for us. We love boondocking on the back roads of Alaska. However, there is a bit of expertise required to be able to offroad a trailer, even on graded roads in Alaska like the Denali highway. This restriction protects not only you as the renter but also us as the owners of the trailer. All it takes is one pot hole and you could be liable for thousands in damage. Our recommendation is to use the trailer as a base camp and drive a vehicle down the unbeaten path.

Q.How do you dump the travel trailer?
A.
This trailer has a single dump line for the black and grey tanks. One valve for black water (toilet), one for gray (sinks and shower), and one for safety where the hose gets hooked up. Once you hook up the sewer hose dump the black first. After the black tank is empty open the grey tank second. Once empty close all the valves. Disconnect all hoses, give them a good rinse and store in the proper containers. DO NOT USE FRESH WATER HOSES ON ANY SEWER PART!!! YOU COULD GET SEVERLY SICK!!!!!
