My favorite nearby forest is Gifford Pinchot National Forest which can be less crowded than Mt Hood. Also Mt Adams is just as beautiful. We spent 4 days in Olympic Nat'l forest this summer and fell so in love with the beaches and evergreens there. Only 4 hrs away! For the coast: I love anywhere Oregon coast but Bandon in southern Oregon is stunning if you haven't traveled south. Cannon Beach, which I will never get tired of, is only an hour and a half from where we live (and the van lives). Oceanside is also an hour away, more quaint but still gorgeous.National Parks from Portland:Crater Lake - 4.5 hrs

Other things to noteThere is a $250 fee if you don't empty the toilet and grey water. It's very easy to do, but I don't want to do it. No smoking of any kind inside the van, please and thank you. Also, my van is pretty new. My intention is to take good care of it and enjoy it during our own adventures. I hope to only have considerate renters like you :) Lastly, this van is not a 4x4, it's not meant to be off road. Please use caution. I'm allowed to keep your deposit for damages. Dog friendly, add-on "fur family."

This van is a dream come true for me. I've wanted the #vanlife option since first renting one for the Redwoods a couple of summers ago with a friend and our kids. My best is when I'm in nature with my 14 yr old daughter and our Aussie/Lab mix. National Parks, State Parks, and any beach for the win. I take care of my things and live life intentionally. I hope to have van renters like you who will be considerate and responsible, treating my rig like it's yours while you rent it. If you have some special needs or requests, let me know. If I can accommodate, I will.

Krishna was a great host and provided an amazing camper van. This is my first time ever being in one and it was so easy to use, drive, and explorer. 10 out of 10 would recommend and would use again if I ever come back to the area.
