2024 Airstream Rangeline
I chose this 2024 Airstream Rangeline Pop-Top van for adventures because it's RAD and I wanted it to be:
1. An Airstream with all the bells and whistles of community and integrity that go with the brand
2. Equipped with a Pop-Top for extra sleeping space
3. Able to tether gear/install car-seats in the backseat
4. No propane (just another thing to not have to worry about!)
5. Drives on Regular gas
6. Made in the USA/on a RAM chassis so easy to maintain
7. Comfy and super fine on the inside and outside, but not too overtly luxurious (think Mercedes) which makes it great for solo, female, Lgbtqia+, family, Mom & Pop travelers wanting to get in and out without feeling like it's too fancy and flashy
8. Something super safe, with a great level of customer care, and the full Airstream experience in an easy to maneauver Class B van--it parks in most regular big Texas style spots
9. No leveling jacks/leveling fluid--it parks easily in most spaces and doesn't require the additional steps of leveling with bigger vans/trailers and no risk of leveling fluid spilling
10. I didn't want to tow, been there, done that!
11. Endless shore power Heat & AC and gas generator and solar for when appropriate to use while boondocking
12. Huge freshwater tank with kitchen sink, bathroom with HOT indoor shower, sink, and gravity flush toilet, and cold water outdoor shower
13, The fridge on this van is pretty awesome--has a freezer too! For cooking it has a portable induction stove and microwave which actually comes in pretty handy on the road. I also provide a variable temp kettle, french press, Hario V60 glass pour over setup, and toaster oven for those that may like to bake cookies in the van;) Please note I provide some tea but I don’t provide coffee and hope you support our local roasters.
14. Dimmable indoor and outdoor lighting: set the mood for relaxed and well-lit vibes. The outdoor lighting is a game changer for ease of being outside at night without using headlamps and lanterns.
15, Huge gear garage under main floor bed
16. Takes Regular gas!

Southern charm, Western vibes. My van is called the Lama Lo which means “Why not!” in Hebrew. I’m an avid outdoors person, dog mama, expert solo traveler, and yogi-lawyer. For many years I was an Airbnb Super Host in Texas and now that I’m living in California, I am grateful and delighted to offer y’all my lovely van for your adventures and retreats. I believe that hosting, sharing, and caring are part of what build community, and I want you to have a safe, fun, comfortable, and enjoyable experience on the road. Hablo español and welcome anyone who wants to enjoy and take good care of the Lama Lo. Please know the Lama Lo is a small, expensive house on wheels and I trust you will treat her with good care. I have met the best and kindest people on the road—I feel truly blessed to live in a country where we can access so much nature with a lot of safety. I’m here to help you with your trip—reach out if you have any questions and happy adventuring!

Have a question?Get answers directly from the host
Q.When should I get to my campsite/boondock spot for the night?
A.
I recommend limiting night time driving. It's nice to arrive at your sleeping spot during daylight hours. Then you can take time to set up your outdoor space, plug into shore power/city water/dump if you're using that, explore where you are staying, and settle in. The Lama Lo has great outdoor lighting--you may want to put up the awning, put down the outdoor rug, pour yourself a drink, and get comfy in your chair and your sheepskin. Don't overdo it--let yourself rest and chillax. Breathe!
Q.How do I block out the sun/maintain privacy inside the Lama Lo while parked?
A.
The Lama Lo has custom black out shades for the windshield and driver and passenger windows. They are black & silver & go inside their respective windows, They are magnetic and the silver fabric faces out. The two back windows have removable screens. I recommend keeping the one by the backseat on and rolling up the 1 on the van door while driving so you can see if someone is on the right of you when turning left, etc. Rear cabin shades should be self explanatory. Back window rolls up & down.
Q.What's up with the Airstream fan?
A.
CLOSED & OFF WHEN DRIVING! The Airstream fan is a wonderful feature! You OPEN it up and turn it ON and it brings in cool, fresh air and keeps the cabin cool. Note that evening temperatures can drop significantly, and so you may notice that you don't need to have the fan open/turned on at night. I like to keep the fan OPEN & ON during the day because it works well for ventilation. Always turn the fan OFF and CLOSE it before driving.
Q.How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
-Plug in (1) the surge protecter to shore power, (2) plug the van's power cord into the surge protector, once you see the light is green/good to go then (3) plug the van power cord into the van's 30 AMP plug to ensure you don't blow the van's power.
-Water hose turns into the city water inlet on the side panel. Never flush/use the sink if there's not water in the tank/plugged into city water because you'll break the system..
-Dump hose goes into the sewer line--you're gonna love this part.
