2016 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter RV Motorhome Campervan
The Van (pronounced "Steven"!) is a diesel campervan that we lovingly and personally up-fitted in late 2020 for our family of 4 and a small dog. We lived in this full time for 18 months while travelling across the USA (from Los Angeles, CA all the way to Portland, Maine), down to Cabo San Lucas in Baja California Sur and up into Vancouver, BC. Tons of garage storage space for whatever gear you need on your next adventure! The Van seats 4 people comfortably, sleeps 2 adults in a queen bed and up to 2 smaller humans (under 4'5" and 75lbs) in a portable bunk bed (see photos). With lithium batteries, robust solar, and a simple plumbing system, The Van is fully equipped to be off grid. No camp hookups required! Dual rear tires and RWD provides extra traction and support on the road.Pickup: During the week (Mon-Fri), pickup can only take place after 4:30 p.m. at our preferred pick-up location in East Portland/Mall 205. If you select delivery, please be advised that your distance from 97216 and the time of day will affect the delivery time. Weekend pickup (Sat-Sun) is from 9am onward; please work with us on detailsReturn: Please ensure trash bins, grey water, and urine bucket are emptied before returning the vehicle. If you use the solid compost, you'll need to empty this and refill with peat moss prior to return.Return timing is flexible, so we can work with you to find a time that works best. Please remember! We're a family with school-age kids; this is less a business and more an opportunity for us to share The Van with folks interested in traveling in a camper van. What's included
- Dometic 75L dual compartment cooler/freezer
-Queen-sized bed with fresh linens
-Portable bunk system ("Cabbunk") which comfortably sleeps kids or small humans under 4'5"/100lbs
-Nature's Head composting toilet (you are responsible for keeping this clean!)
-6' butcher block countertop
- Television
-Large sink basin
-Double MaxxAir fans for maximum ventilation and airflow

-Full solar set-up (great for boondocking/dry camping)

RecommendationsGreat for exploring throughout Oregon, and Southern Washington. We're big fans of taking the van out to the Oregon Coast and into Olympic National Park in Washington state.Other things to notePets are welcome (we have a crate that accommodate up to a 40lb dog), but please do your best to minimize dog damage by keeping nails trimmed and ensuring they have something to chew on while driving. Be mindful of the grey water bucket and empty it often (urine bucket too)! Download the iOverlander app and GasBuddy to assist with campsites and places to refuel. DIESEL ONLY!!!

The van was well-thought DYI conversion and drove well although it was more than 200K miles. The disappointment was that the refrigerator did not work without ice and the second generator did not work on solar. I did not know those two things were broken until I was picking it up. Since I went into the national park without any electrical plugs available, the second generator that controlled the plugs went out completely. These items should have been fixed prior to renting. It was not disclosed until I was picking it up. I made due but I will not use Outdoorsy again. For the price, it should have been in working order.

This camper a was even better than I hoped. It had everything we needed and more! Very roomy. Bed was super comfortable and drove well. All the instructions were spot on and communication was great. Wish we could have kept it longer and definitely plan to use them the next time we come out to Oregon. I just can’t say enough about how great our experience was

Loved our trip in the lovely camper van! Took ‘er out to the mountains of CO and got to experience the wonderful wilderness. Comfortable for long drives, we fit 3 adults (a bit snuggly at night- would recommend a tent!) and 2 big dogs no problem. Hosts were wonderful and helpful. Would do again!

The host was very informative at handoff. Walked us through all the needed information on the van. The return was just as efficient. Would highly recommend

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
On the weekends, we prefer midday pickup/return. During the week, we're limited to early evening pickup (especially if you select delivery). Send us a message and we'll do our best to work something out.
