Awesome camper and amazing host!

This was an awful experience. The van was not as advertised and could not handle the hills or the heat and kept breaking down. We had been driving carefully, but in the end we were so afraid it would break down that we were in the truck lane with our hazards on, doing 40 mph and holding our breaths. The van finally broke down on the Grapevine, so that we sat on the roadside for an hour and a half waiting for a tow. The owner had been appraised of our destination and even though he clearly knew the vehicle could not handle the trip, he rented it to us. It was scary and dangerous and ultimately a big pain in the ass. Neither the owner nor Outdoorsy have responded in any way to texts, calls, emails and messages on the Outdoorsy board. After repeated attempts to reach Outdoorsy I was promised a call back in 24 hours; no one called me. I have filed a dispute of payment with my credit card and I would not recommend giving Outdoorsy your business. They will take your money and not care about your experience.

Do yourself a favor and book this bus right now. It has a unique personality: vintage charm but new engine and very well furnished. I would definitely recommend it (and may even rent it again).
