2023 Winnebago Solis
Brand NEW Winnebago Solis for your stay in Kona Hawaii - Ala Nani - Beautiful Path (literally path beautiful). This vehicle is not someone's homemade conversion van. It is a safe reliable professionally constructed Class B RV from Winnebago that can safely transport and sleep 4 adults; most conversion vans are unable to do this. There are 2 queen size sleeping areas in the van: a murphy bed in the rear and a pop top area in the roof. This vehicle also has a fully enclosed toilet and shower inside the "house" for privacy and comfort while also having an external spray hose to wash off sand from the beach before getting inside. There is a small refrigerator that runs on battery power and the vehicle has plenty of solar power to keep the fridge cold for the duration of your trip and to run the lights and power USB devices. There is a 2 burner gas cooktop and a freshwater sink with hot water provided by the LP gas. It's based on a RAM ProMaster 2500 and it runs on regular gasoline. It's like driving a Cadillac that is the length of a large pickup truck and it's perfect for Hawaii's roads. What's includedThe "house" does not have a separate air conditioning unit however the cab has strong air conditioning and we include a good size Ryobi battery operated fan to move the cool air to the rear to keep things comfortable. Also don't be too alarmed there are screens on all the windows and doors and in most cases you'll be able to open them and sleep with a nice Hawaiian breeze - but the fan and air con from the cab are available if needed. We offer bed linens, pillows, bath towels, beach towels, reusable plates, cups and utensils - so that our guests don't have to contribute a lot of plastic waste to landfills here.We provide a collapsible wagon to handle all the beach or snorkel gear when you want to head to a nice spot on a beautiful beach! There is wifi and internet access with the vehicle which works on most of the island. There is a chromebook if you just have to have a screen to watch You-tube while you're out in nature or if you need to find some information on the vehicle there are videos and documents on the chromebook for you to refer to.Pickup at Kona international Airport for free with advanced notice. Otherwise an uber or taxi to our location will cost about $20 even though we're only 4 miles from the airport.RecommendationsThere are laws in Hawaii about sleeping in vehicles or where you can park one over night and remain in the vehicle. There are also limited places where you can legally camp. There are some private alternatives to the state or federal parks and we can help you find those. What would you expect from a state that doesn't allow glass, alcohol or smoking at beaches? Don't believe me? Google it :)Before we let you rent our vehicle we will have you get in touch and make sure you are not in violation of any of the "camping" rules and regulations to help ensure that you enjoy your vacation to the fullest.Other things to noteNo pets allowed (you can't bring a pet to Hawaii on vacation anyway - if you're able to pull this off please let us know how).No smoking in the vehicle. No tobacco, no vaping, no pakalolo. Smoke outside the vehicle if you need to but not on the beach ;)Small children are not allowed in the pop up area unattended. No exceptions as they could fall through the access port. I know it will be tough but as good parents we keep our children safe. This goes without saying - no drinking and driving or driving under the influence of illicit substances. There is no spare tire - if there is an issue with a tire and a repair is needed you'll need to use the included roadside assistance program.

Fantastic experience with Tahn’s van. Great communication with a clean van to explore this gorgeous island. We will definitely come back for another round in the future. Thank you Tahn!

From start to finish, Tahn and his rig were perfect for our trip to the Big Island. Tahn had excellent communication and customer service, and the van was exactly what we needed. It was spotless, drove like a dream, and made camping a piece of cake. Highly recommend using Tahn’s rig for your next adventure.

Ok seriously Tahn is amazing and so is the Van. Our flight was delayed and he was the most gracious host who went above and beyond! The van was perfect. Easy to drive and comfortable, the three of us made our way from beach park to campsite all around the island. The best was to see this island in my mind! Thanks Tahn!
