1987 Volkswagen Westfalia
Barry is a beautifully kept 1987 Westfalia Camper. It has an automatic transmission . Barry has an aftermarket wheel and suspension made specifically for Vanagons. It gives an extra nice ride and puts the vehicle up an extra 2" for better clearance and viewing. Because its water cooled the heater blows nice and warm and there's a Mr Buddy heater available for those cool nights. It has working sink, stove fridge. We include a camp stove and cooler. We do all our cooking outside and fridge is pretty small. Barry has a large ARP canopy which creates a wonderful indoor/outdoor space and we supply solar Edison lights to create a cozy and inviting atmosphere.Barry has all the kitchen supplies you will need for 4 and bedding is available for a comfy sleep. There's a good amount of storage. If you're traveling with 4 people pack light. There are full privacy curtains that are easily snapped into place. There isn't anything on the road that gives you the feels and the smiles from you and fellow travelers more than a VW camper. Can't really think of another bucket list vacation vehicle. We're just starting this Journey and would love to have you along for the ride! What's included Camp stove, cooler, kitchen/cooking utensils. Trailer hitch for bike rack. Other things to noteWill have a full tank of gas, return full or $60.00 charge.

We love to travel weekends mostly around the Northwest. So much to see. Normally gravitate to the ocean but love time spent in the mountains. We have some music festivals we attend anually and watch our communities there grow. We have 3 vans that we'll take and have a little compound. I build cafe motorcycles and have a 70's chevy van with sidepipes and custom wheels so we do a lot of events that are focused around bikes and custom vans. We have a rescue named Nala. Lisa has been professional photographer for over 25 years. She has a studio in our hometown and has a passion for newborn photography. I'm in sales now but I am a journeyman metal fabricator and a builder. Wow, this makes us sound pretty cool haha...but we're not.

We had such an amazing time on our little adventure in Barry, it really felt like a trip back in time! The second we started our adventure, it really felt like none of the stress of the outside world existed. It was also so cool to see Barry bringing a smile to the faces of other drivers on the road, and to meet and talk to fellow campers about their vans and ours! We had everything we needed and more, and there was plenty of room for the two of us to hang during the day & each spread out in our own beds at night. It was also super easy to drive, and did great even going up and over the pass (even if we did hand out in the right lane most of the time haha)!

We had an amazing time with Barry the camper van, and his owner Michael was equally awesome! Michael was very welcoming and he prepared us well for our trip and made sure we knew how to use all the fun things that Barry offered. 5 stars!

We picked up Michael’s Outdoorsy van for our PNW adventures and were blown away!
The camper van was nostalgic and well-appointed with a sink, stove, shade canopy, camping supplies, and pop-up tent.
It was easy to drive and reliable, as well.
We chugged up Mount Rainier and around Olympic NP in style! We also enjoyed the looks of wonder and envy as we made our way around on a truly magical journey.

We had so much fun with this rental, exploring the Olympic Peninsula. Barry was fun to drive and fun to camp in. The awning and lights were a nice touch

Had such a great time in Michael’s Van! It’s been a dream of mine to roadtrip in a Vanagon and I can’t recommend it enough to travellers who enjoy slowing down and enjoying the ride. Michael was super friendly and knowledgeable. The van was very well equipped, clean and running great. Would highly recommend. :)
