2022 Forest River Coachmen Catalina Legacy
Cat is a 36' forest river Catalina legacy edition. we would like to allow you the opportunity to enjoy it as well. she has a microwave, oven and stovetop inside and a griddle outside so you can cook whatever you want wherever you want.
Cat usually sleeps a family of 5 comfortably with three kids in the rear bunkhouse and two adults in the front bedroom. you could also sleep four more between the convertible dinette and the foldout sofa. all youll need to bring is a set of bedding and some camp chairs and you'll be ready for a weekend Michigan's great outdoors. Cat has a mini fridge in the outdoor kitchen great for all your drinks and food that you plan to cook on your camp side outdoor kitchen flat top griddle. there is also a large fridge inside to hold everything you need for a long week on the road or in the woods.
Cat has a/c and propane heat as well as an electric fireplace that does a fine job heating the camper in mild weather which is great for saving propane.
we know nobody plans to go camping and watch tv, but rainy days do happen, so she does have a flat screen mounted over the fireplace with a digital antenna.Cat is a pretty hefty trailer, so we do ask you to be transparent about what you plan to tow her with and whether or not you have experience towing.
We prefer you tow Cat with a truck that can handle hauling at least 9500 lbs, has a brake controller installed or built in, and prove that it is working upon pick up. you will be using our weight distributing hitch, the equalizer 4 point sway control hitch to attach to your vehicle.
We do take towing safety seriously and would expect you to do the same, speeding is not tolerated and puts trailer tires at a higher risk of defect (higher speeds wear tires sooner and can cause dangerous situations at high speeds.) Your rental will assume you will respect our speed limit of 65 mph max.
If you have any questions don't hesitate to reach out to me and i will do my best to answer quickly and efficiently.
What's included
We will provide a washable place setting for up to 5. otherwise you'll need to use paper or plastic ware. An assortment of pots and pans are included as well as cooking utensils and dish soap to clean up with.
You will be expected to provide a sheet and blanket and pillow for each bed you plan on using. You also will be responsible for bringing camp chairs and firewood and fire starters.
RecommendationsWhen we go out in the Catalina we take her to KOA campgrounds usually because of the full hookup sites, the ease of dumping waste at your campsite is great, otherwise we love to visit the state campgrounds especially since our great state has so much to offer.
More specifically sites we visited last year are ...
-Holly KOA
-Jellystone campground in Frankenmuth
-Pontiac Lake State CampgroundWe like to find large sites with a lot of room for the kids to run around and play or find a site near the playground at these campgrounds
Other things to noteCat is our baby, we love to spend time in and around Cat, we would like to keep Cat beautiful and like new for as long as possible and we would expect you, the renter, to respect the equipment the same way we do. This includes sweeping up sand and debris with the included broom and dustpan, try to clean up food messes and pay attention to the guidelines for waste dumping for the best results and we can keep Cat like new together.

Matt and his camper were the best camper we rented. He was very thorough, showed me everything and provided all you could need. I will be looking to rent from him in the future.

Matt was easy to communicate with and went through everything we needed to know to make our trip successful! The RV is absolutely beautiful, has so much room, and not sure how I’ll ever camp again without renting his RV again - a true “Glamping” experience! Highly recommend renting from Matt!!!

This was our first-time renting (or pulling) a towable and Matt made it easier than I could have imagined. His towing set up with the heavy-duty hitch and anti-sway bars made pulling the camper a breeze. Even before we picked up the camper, Matt sent me a video to watch that showed all the steps from A-Z from towing to set up to breakdown. When I picked up the trailer, Matt and his wife went thru everything inside and out to make sure we had no issues towing and setting up when we arrived at our destination. We brought our 6-year-old twin grandkids and the bunkhouse feature in the backend was great for them to sleep and play in. Our daughter met us at the camp site with her fifth wheel and her 3 kids and we actually had all five kids sleep with us for a couple nights and the Catalina accommodated us all. My favorite feature may have been the outdoor kitchen. The attached propane flat top made cooking a breeze and outdoor sink allowed us to do all of our cleanup outside to eliminate any mess inside. The unit was very clean and had everything we needed for our 4-day trip. Whether you are looking for a quiet getaway for you and your wife or are wanting to take the family, I would highly recommend reaching out to Matt and his family. Thank you for making this a stress free and enjoyable experience. Looking forward to renting from you again.
