My name is Justin. I am the owner of a pretty cool 1990 Ford Econoline conversion van, equipped with Starlink Roam dish and a solar powered Goal Zero Yeti 1250. Your rental also includes a free Parks Canada Discovery Pass and all of the basic camping necessities. This van has everything going for itself; a bit of retro, and a bit of modern. The interior will remind you of your grandma's living room (e.g. the blue velvet captain seats, the electric sofa bed, the small analog television, plugged to a fully functional VHS player, the thick blue carpet), whereas the Starlink Roam dish and Goal Zero Yeti 1250 solar-powered power station and roof solar panel will unmistakably bring you back to the 21st century. As a new addition this year, we've installed a Starlink Roam dish on top of the vehicle, allowing renters to enjoy high-speed internet while the vehicle is in motion. This way, you'll be able to stay connected to satelitte internet and have reliable access to wi-fi when visiting locations where connectivity is completely unavailable, such as the various mountainous roads and highways and isolated campgrounds of BC and Alberta.Originally converted in a camper van in Manitoba back in 1990, we purchased the van from the original owner in 2014. We have since been taken care of the vehicle as we do a child. Our van is like a family member to us. We have diligently been taking care of it since, spending thousands of dollars a year to maintain it in good working order.Last year alone, I have re-invested all of the van rental income and much more, totalling about 12,000$ of repairs, maintenance and fixes, to make sure my family members and yours are safe when using the vehicle. The odds of you having a seamless trip, free of mechanical failures, are pretty high!Among other things, I bought a new set of all season tires last fall, keeping me and you safe in case the weather takes a quick turn for the worst, as it often happens in the Rockies, even in summer time. What's included-Parks Canada Discovery Pass
-STARLINK ROAM Unlimited high-speed, low-latency statellite internet
-Solar-powered Goal Zero Yeti 1250 & solar panel
-Camping equipment available (includes new Woods Blaze gas stove, cutlery, coffee mugs, plates, pots and pans, etc.)
-Extra floor mattress
RecommendationsCanmore is the home of beautiful scenery and many fun activities! The town is minutes away from Banff National Pak, Kananaskis Country and Bow Valley Provincial Parks, five world-renowned ski resorts and six breath taking golf courses.Areas nearby the area include Banff, home of Sunshine Ski Village, Lake Louise which has many turquoise lakes and the Victoria Glacier and finally Field, located in heart of Yoho National Park. Other things to notePlease note that this vehicle is not meant to be driven on a gravel road. Please respect maximum speed of 105-110km/h when highway driving. This vehicle is not meant to be driven fast. This is an older recreational vehicle; not a newer camper van you can do 120-130km/h on the Hwy with. If you have a heavy foot or plan on using the vehicle on an off-road adventure, refrain from renting this vehicle. Plus, the faster you drive, the more expansive it will cost you in fuel.Even though the inside of the vehicle is in relatively good shape, a few items may not be in working order. Given the age of the vehicle, there is rust on the outside. Efforts will be made in the next off-season to remedy this situation, and likely cost north of 4000$.Snowy/icy road notice: Please note that this vehicle is equipped with all season tires. All vehicles perform better in the snow with seasonal winter tires - which is not the case for this vehicle. Being a rear drive axle, be mindful when turning or driving on snowy or icy surfaces. For your own safety and security, highway speed of 60km/h max is recommended on snowy/icy road conditions. I speak from experience having driven this vehicle in various snowstorms this past winter.

We had a great time! We rented the van for a 4-person trip, and had two people sleeping in the van and two in a tent. The transition back and forth between the bed and seats was super easy and the van was easy to drive and use. Justin was super nice and helpful and we had more than enough supplies to make our trip awesome!

As a regular client, Justin was kind enough to make his vehicle available to me again, despite using it himself for his family during the summer. I really enjoyed the newest addition: Starlink satellite internet!!! As I need to stay connected and have access to cell network overnight for work, I was able to get away from the beaten path and explore new territory during this trip, namely Kinbasket Lake, near Valemount. This was my last business trip to this area, but will definitely keep your vehicle in mind for future work trips.

For a year and a half now, I have rented Justin's camper van for a monthly work trip to Valemount. I have driven on icy roads, through snowstorms, in rain and hot summer days. The vehicle is very reliable, and once you adjust your driving to the engine's capacity, it is very enjoyable to drive. The owner has been accepting of the feedback I provided him and poured money into the van, constantly improving the vehicle's handling, comfort and safety.

Great trip through the Parkway on our way to Lake Louise, then Edmonton, and back to Canmore. We had a great trip overall, slept very well, and enjoyed the scenery the Rockies have in store for all of us!

Many mechanical upgrades were completed since I last booked this van, including a brand new set of tires and new seals, which has significantly improved traction and fuel consumption. It's great to see an owner who cares about the renter's driving experience and re-invest the money they make in the vehicle. I have seen a 20-25% improvement on fuel consumption, and its a trip I make often and an itinerary that I know quite well.
