2021 Teardrop Camping Company Teardrop
This is one of the lightest 4 person travel trailers available. The Toedrop travel trailer is made exclusively for Teardrop Camping Company for our rental customers. The Teardrop Camping Company’s goal is to simplify the camping experience. We think that camping and being outdoors with family and friends is one of life’s greatest simple pleasures. Exploring nature and telling stories around the campfire make memories that last a lifetime. One of the hardest things about camping is managing all of the gear that you need to acquire, maintain and store. Our goal is to eliminate that hassle for you. We try to think of everything you could possibly need, and pack it into the smallest, lightest package we can think of - the teardrop trailer. Our trailers are built with your camping experience in mind, designed to provide every possible comfort and convenience. So all you have to do is dream of a place to go, and enjoy. The trailer is 14 feet long from hitch to end and 7 feet wide from fender to fender. It has an aluminum exterior and aluminum frame. The interior is Baltic Birch plywood with a shellac finish. The teardrop trailer rides on two 14" radial trailer tires that are rated for towing at highway speeds. The dry weight of the trailer is 1600 lbs. Fully loaded the weight is 2300 lbs and the axel is rated to 3500 lbs. For additional safety, the trailer is equipped with electric brakes and a Curt bluetooth brake controller. Our trailers have two oversize doors into the sleeping compartment. The inside will sleep two adults on a 6" memory foam queen mattress. The Tepui rooftop tent will comfortably sleep an additional two adults. There are storage shelves for your personal gear and clothes. The two doors have slide open windows with screens, which provide cross ventilation. RecommendationsThe teardrop is small enough to fit into any campground. If it's a private campground that says full - check anyway - we have found that once they know it's a teardrop they can sometimes squeeze you in. The teardrop is a good dry camp/boondock camper. There is no need for hookups for all the creatures comforts of home. This is camping, not RVing. When you have found your camping spot - unhook the vehicle and go explore, because when you're done exploring you have a place to come back to.
Other things to noteThere are many add-on options to your teardrop camping experience. You may want to add a portable propane fire ring. This is great for the instant heat on the cold morning wake up because your do not need to split wood to start the fire. When fire season is too dry to have a wood fire, most of the time propane fires are still ok. I know the s'mores don't taste the same without the smoke. But, I for one, do not miss the smoke in the eyes. Please note Blackout dates:

Chris and Susan were great, and the trailer made for a great camping trip. Planning on renting it again in the future.

This was a fun camping experience to Olympic National Park, WA. Chris, the Teardrop builder and owner, was personable and attentive. He has fully outfitted the trailer so you can just jump in and go. Of particular note was the high quality of the trailer build, its insulation that made it super quiet inside, and a comfy bed with lots of pillows and a quilt. We hope to rent it again in the next year.

What a fabulous experience in our little teardrop. It was outfitted so perfectly that nothing was missing (except the toilet, lol). Chris did an excellent job of preparing us for the “teardrop experience”, and promptly answered the phone every time we had a question! I loved the thoughtful touches inside and outside, from the pillowcase shades to the extra shelf for cooking—very simple and clean. Thank you for making our camping trip so pleasurable and easy.

Have a question?Get answers directly from the host
Q.Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
A.
We have updated our website with helpful videos and we have a renters guide notebook to help with setup and function of the trailer parts.
Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
When you make your reservation, we will schedule a pick-up appointment time with you, generally sometime between 9am-3pm. Please schedule your pick-up at least one hour before you hope to be on the road, so that we have adequate time to orient you to the trailer and review rental paperwork. We will confirm a drop-off appointment time with you when you come to pick up the trailer.
Q.Do you provide food?
A.
Not at this time. We are thinking of offering meal planning with grocery store pickup in the future. If interested in this service let us know.
Q.Can I bring my dog?
A.
Sure. This is a small space and getting pet odor and hair out is extremely hard. So please do not leave leave your dog unattended in the trailer. No animals are to be allowed to be in the roof top tent.
