A hybrid camper set up in the country in Bailey, NC near some pretty cool rural attractions such as The Country Doctor Museum, Contentnea Christmas light show, Dean's Farm Market, the Spring Hope Pumpkin Festival, Big Daddy's Christmas Light show for up to two registered guests over age 13. This is a stationary rental, meaning you have guaranteed accommodations whereas sites at private campgrounds or public campgrounds can be booked up months to a year in advance. Avoid bathhouses and rowdy neighbors, come stay with us. Hybrid campers are unique in that they have sleeping areas that are tents so you can feel like a kid again camping out in nature. This camper is set up on the edge of our 0.25 acre property in rural Bailey, NC under mature trees and next to a wooded area. This is a tobacco, alcohol, and drug free property. The fastest way to reach us is through the Outdoorsy app. You may also ring the doorbell to the upstairs level of the main house across the drive.Other things to noteCell phone reception on the property can be spotty depending on carrier. Verizon and AT&T are better than others. Wifi calling is best and we have a shared internet phone in the welcome area for local calling as a courtesy. Guest wifi can be picked up from the main house network.
RVs and tent campers are by nature louder than homes. You are sleeping in a tent so background, country traffic noise, and environmental noises are unavoidable.We have a friendly dog on the property. Please do not call her or she may tackle you and give you kisses. She is friendly and mostly quiet but like children she may occasionally bark or not obey quiet hours. We keep her on leash or chain for her safety under our supervision. She occasionally is allowed to roam free or on the chain for exercise. She is on a special diet so please do not feed her. Any interaction with her is at your own risk. Her space is the front yard.You will be staying in our favorite hybrid tent camper with space for up to two adults plus luggage and room to spread out.The business traveler or locum tenens medical provider will love the easy commute to Wilson Medical Center (20min), Nash General (25 minutes) Reckitt Pharmaceuticals (15 minutes) , Perdue Pharmaceuticals, Glaxo Smith Kline, and ECU's famous Country Doctor Museum of Bailey (10 min).RDU airport is about an hour away. I'm excited to host you. I'm a teacher, Jesus follower, mom, baker, Physician Associate, and disaster relief worker. I started camping in my front yard as a child and never stopped! The hybrid camper sits on the edge of our property next to a wooded empty lot. I like the mature trees next to the camper so you have shade in the summer and plenty of crickets, frogs, birds, and unknown forest critters to see and hear from the tent sleeping quarters. I feel more connected to nature in this hybrid camper because I can unzip the canvas, feel the breeze, and take in the panoramic views while taking a nap or reading a book on the heated queen mattress.

We have city water hooked up to the camper. We always recommend cooking and drinking bottled water when camping.
Q.How does the tv work?
A.
The TV can pick up internet at times from the main house. We do not have satellite reception as we like nature over tv so we never replaced it. We play movies over a dvd system or off our personal ipad. If you have an ipad or can't connect we can offer you dvds or a connector to run off your apple device for your stay.
Q.Electrical hookup

Electricity is by drop cord from main house. Avoid using hairdryers as with any RV this will blow a fuse. Running microwave and hairdryers at the same time will cause the electrical to trip on most RVs
Q.Why is your site a "free" campsite of alcohol, drugs, marijuana, vape, etc?

Your stay is designed with your health in mind. We have a child with allergies on the property and we model healthy behaviors for him. We host people who are fleeing temptation for the holidays and want to not be triggered by substances in the environment. We are nature lovers. In honor of friends and family who have died due to substance addiction or are in recovery, we encourage sobriety on our property.
