2023 Winnebago Solis
Our 2023 Winnebago Solis is ready to bring you on the adventure of a lifetime in Alaska! It is compact enough to be easy to drive through the Turnagain Arm’s gorgeous winding roads but spacious enough for a family of four to relax after an exciting day.
Ursa Major Adventures helps travelers from outside of Alaska as well as in-state residents with a fully furnished RV that has the essential supplies to park at a campground, a safe pull-off, or even a driveway. UMA provides renters with Alaska-specific supplies to hit the ground running toward the adventure of a lifetime.
UMA's home base is close to Ted Stevens International and is only a $12 taxi ride away making it very convenient for out-of-state visitors.
The Solis is equipped with seats for 4 passengers and can sleep 4 passengers comfortably. 2 people in the Murphy bed in the back and 2 people in the pop-top. There is a solar panel that can charge with Alaska’s nearly endless summer sun. The wet-bath will provide a warm shower and a toilet that is a little less “Alaskan”.
The digital rear-view mirror and backup cameras make for easy maneuvering. Cruise control and driver assist provide an easy drive.

RecommendationsThis van is perfect for boondocking or staying at a campground. We have camped all over Alaska and have some suggestions if you are interested. We have a packet of maps and brochures of places you may be interested in visiting. Please note that some campgrounds in Alaska require advanced reservations. If you have a destination in mind, we'd love to help!Other things to noteWe expect our 2023 Winnebago Solis 59P to be returned in the same condition that you picked it up.Arrival and Departure Logistics: There will be a mandatory time to be shown how the features of our Solis works. Plan on an hour, it likely won’t take that long but we want you to be fully prepared. When you get back. Plan on a 30-minute walk-through to ensure the Solis is returned in the same state you started with.Limitations: There is a perimeter we would like to keep the Solis in- don’t worry, Alaska is HUGE and you will have plenty to do. The main idea is to keep the Solis in the territory where there is roadside assistance and the ability to keep a lengthy lifespan.
Northbound- We do not allow the vehicle to leave Alaska. Nor do we allow it to go much further north than the South Pullout to view Denali on the Parks Highway- this allows you to enjoy historic Talkeetna and recreation in the area. If you would like to travel past the Hatchers Pass area on the Glenn, prior approval will be required.
Southbound- The Seward Highway and onto the Sterling Highway is highly encouraged. The furthest south you can go is either Homer or Seward. It really is a playground for fishing, hunting, and hiking. The drive immediately south of Anchorage is stunning. These roads are 2 lane roads most of the way and through a mountain pass. The vehicle is definitely not designed for going off of the road system. It is a 2-wheel drive van and should not be used on any sandy beaches or non-maintained roads.Hunting and fishing are world-class in Alaska. You may cook your harvest in the camper, but cleaning it is strictly not allowed. The goal is to keep the camper smell-free and easy to clean for the next Alaskan adventurer!
Simple limitations-
No Smoking or smoke of any kind
No Pets
No Off-Roading
No cleaning fish or game inside the Campervan.Failure to return the van to us in the same condition as you received it from us when you picked it up incurs a $350 cleaning fee that we will retain from your deposit.

We had a great time exploring Alaska with the Solis camper van. Ashly was very responsive leading up to the trip and the check out of the RV was very smooth and quick. Both sleeping areas were very comfortable, the stove, fridge and storage allowed us to eat well every where we went. The van was easy to drive and easy to use. I would definitely recommend Ashly and the Solis camper van.

Our family of four had a fantastic time exploring in the van. We were comfortable and everything was very user-friendly, convenient, and well thought out. Ashly was very responsive and accommodating. We would for sure book again and recommend to friends.
Ashly’s answer
Thank you, Erica! It was great meeting you and your family. I hope to see you guys again when in Anchorage!

We had a wonderful time camping in Alaska and Ashly was wonderful to work with. She communicated very well and stocked the camper with all the essentials we needed. The camper was amazing. Highly recommend.

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
We realize that flights in and out of Anchorage vary greatly- many are red-eyes. We have a flexible availability to pick up or drop off the RV, but if it is before 7 a.m. and after 10 p.m., please let us know and we will try to accommodate as best we can.
Q.How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
No need for "full hook-ups" at a campground. In fact, you really don't need any water or sewage hookups.
The best way to utilize the water is to use the water in the tank. The design of the Solis does not allow the hose to be hooked up without the back door being open.
The cassette toilet is easily dumped at a dump site or even a pit toilet at the rest areas along the Alaskan highways. There is no black tank to be used for full hookups.
