2006 Subaru Impreza
The Blubaru is a 2006 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport with a Roofnest Meadowlark tent. She gets great gas mileage, has been lovingly maintained, and is an all-around great vehicle for exploring Alaska! We purposefully picked this rooftop tent for its ease of set up and blackout fabric - a must in the land of the midnight sun! We pack the Blubaru with all the basics for a camping expedition. She has an Alaska state park sticker so you’ll never need to pay for parking at a state park when you want to hit the trails. The Blubaru’s size is a big plus for fuel economy, fitting into tiny parking spots and easy driving… but not so great for spaciousness. With all the camp gear and your luggage, it's really only ideal for 2 people. Also, the rooftop tent would be rather cozy for two larger or taller people, but we do have a ground tent and sleeping pads that we can provide upon request to accommodate those who need more sleeping space. We want everyone who rents with us to have a great experience, so feel free to contact us if you have any questions! What's included2 sleeping bags; 2 camping pillows; 2 camping chairs; 4 gallon (15 L) freshwater container; 2 burner propane stove; 1 filled reusable propane canister (if you need more, then that will be your responsibility); dishwashing tub; cups, plates, bowls and silverware for 2; cooking utensils and cook set; tarp and cordage for impromptu rain shelter; medium size cooler; small flashlights and lantern; 2 canisters of bear spray, and a few other conveniences.Airport pick ups and drop offs are available for an additional fee.RecommendationsWhere will our 'ru take you? We LOVE adventuring in Alaska, so we have a lot of local tips on everything from fun hikes to good restaurants to great fishing guides and outfitters. Some top picks will be in your welcome binder, but please contact us if you’d like some advice planning your AK adventure!Other things to noteAbsolutely NO smoking, vaping, or drug use in the tent or car.
No driving off-road or on unmaintained roads. Please stay on Alaska's main road system for the vehicle's safety and yours. The Blubaru may have a few small character dents, but please don't add any more. Driving into Denali National Park to access campgrounds is ok! Roads NOT permitted: Dalton Highway, Denali Highway (between Cantwell and Paxson), and McCarthy road into Wrangell St. Elias National Park. If you have questions regarding routes you'll be traveling please ask!

The blue Bru was equipped with all necessary car, camping items, such as a Coleman to stove, cooking and cleaning utensils, charger and other amenities. We used the tent on the roof and found it very easy to put up once we learned the basics I took a video as Patrick was showing me how to assemble the tent, and that was very helpful. it rained quite a bit but the tent straight the 10th stayed dry and very cozy.

We couldn’t have been happier with the Blubaru for our first Alaskan adventure! Patrick made sure we were well-prepared, providing a thorough overview of the car and sharing excellent recommendations for exploring the area. The Blubaru itself was a joy to drive an has plenty of space for 2 people. The roof tent setup was super easy, and we slept soundly every night. The camping gear provided by Patrick covered all our needs. We highly recommend the Blubaru for anyone looking to experience Alaska in the best way possible!

Patrick provided an awesome car and tent for my explorations. He explained all I needed to know to set up the tent and how to use all the camping extras. He was super friendly and offered insight into the different areas I was visiting. Great communication and easy to find location. I would recommend this set up for an easy way to get around and visit Alaska. Thanks so much, Patrick!

Pick up and drop off were very simple and Patrick made planning our days even easier. Always responsive, and excited to share any recommendations with visitors. The car ran great the whole way, no issues, great gas mileage. The rooftop tent was easy up and down, even in the pouring rain. Came with all the camping essentials, so this was a mega value that can't be beat!

Roof tent is really comfortable and easy to set up. The camping equipment was more than satisfactory, everything we needed for camping was in the car. The stove and fridge were big, there was enough gas and pots/utensils. The owner was nice, responded quickly to all our questions and was flexible. The car was safe and got us everywhere we wanted. Enough room for 2 people, but you have to keep your luggage in the back seats. 100% recommend.

This was exactly what we needed for our trip. It was perfect for 2 people! Made for an affordable way to get around and explore. The owner answered all questions we had prior to our trip and during. He gave us lots of tips and options of places to explore that were suited to us. Would highly recommend to others.

Upon rental approval we will send you a link to a video that goes over how to open and close the roof top tent, but also go over everything again when you arrive.
