We really enjoyed renting David’s Cricket as we’re in the process of assessing whether having a camper of our own is feasible for us or not. David was very friendly, helpful and prompt in the delivery of the Cricket as well as in response to our inquiries when issue arose. Apparently, we got the Cricket when the battery was at the end of its life so we needed to leave a day early. David was very empathetic and respectful in his handling of the issues that required us to leave early. He also refunded us the portion of our stay that we did not get to enjoy. Thank you again for allowing us to experience the Cricket!

We had a great trip in the Cricket-- it was very clean (and it great shape!), easy to manage, provided for all of our needs, and was comfortable the whole time. Pulling the Cricket with a Toyota Highlander Hybrid was no problem at all-- pulled easy on the interstate and on the twisty roads on and around the Blue Ridge Parkway. We ran the heat while sleeping two of the nights, and it kept us nice and warm. We were not hooked up to power or water at the campsite we visited and had no problems using the battery power for everything we needed for 3 nights. David was very friendly, helpful, and responsive. Highly recommend!

David gave a thorough and informative overview of the Cricket and was promptly communicative throughout the process. The Cricket was very clean, well-equipped, and in working order. We thoroughly enjoyed the Cricket (except the top of my head, which banged off the top of the doorway innumerable times). It pulled very smoothly behind our 2018 Subaru Outback. We were wanting to try out the Cricket to determine whether to keep it on our long-term dream camper list, and it made the cut.

The Cricket is so cute! It made us look way cooler than we are. Not having to lug a bunch of tent and cooking equipment was a very nice change from how we’ve normally camped. Hot water for morning coffee and washing hands was awesome. The kids loved the bunks (ages 5, 8) and the parents enjoyed being off the ground yet waking up before sunrise with a view out the screened windows. It was a bit intimidating at first as I’ve never stayed in a camper and I was a bit worried we’d break something but everything was intuitive and sturdy. The kids had a hard time figuring out the door mechanism but honestly that wasn’t a problem. Common sayings from the parents were, “Stay IN the camper it’s time for bed,” and “stay OUT of the camper with those dirty feet.” The door just helped us with our camp style parenting. David included two mats for outside the door which was a fantastic touch that gave us an easy place to land our feet and helped keep everything clean.

David was a Great host, he ran me through the set up and functions clearly and quickly. I had no problems once arriving at the campsite or packing up. David's Taxa Cricket was lightweight @1800lbs. It was easy to tow with my Honda Pilot. This was Glamping! The Bed was comfortable with the added foam topper he provided and the Taxa was well stocked. I thought the stainless steel pots, pans, plates and utensils were nice and the french press was a bonus. Because I like smaller camp grounds at State parks and National forests which often only have toilets, this camper was perfect off grid (no water or power hook up) The Taxa has enough battery and propane for three days with a hot outdoor shower. David provides an outdoor shower tent as an add on. We were the envy of the camp ground. I loved this camper and I hope to rent again.

The cricket was a comfortable place for our family of four to sleep while hanging in the woods. The design and organization made for easy use and the trailer is just down right cool.

The Taxa Cricket is a great small camper. It exponentially beats a tent! David was very responsive and thoroughly explained all the systems of the Cricket. Even with no hook ups, the Cricket did great over four days on battery power only. I'm sure it could have gone several more days in addition. I will be renting again from David.
