We started out tent camping, bought our 1st Pop-up at a Garage Sale and rebuilt it, moved on to a bigger Pop-up and then a Trailmanor. When we sold a house and had no place to store a camper we sold the camper and then went back to tent camping - while hiking tall mountains (Pike's Peak & Mt. Whitney were amazing!). Then while doing a few days on the Appalachian Trail a horrific thunderstorm seemed to take away some of the zest for tent camping for my wife and we came back to campers! Love helping people take their first camping trip and experiencing the outdoors.

We keep going back to rent from John (two trips so far and a third one in the planning stages) because he is great to work with. He is very patient and thorough in showing us how everything works, and was available to answer questions while we were on our trip. We had a great trip with the RPod, which was very easy to tow. After our last trip, John showed us another RV he thought we might like, and we are going to try it next.

Great time in the Murphy camper! Were there things about this camper I would change? Sure. But for a first time camper outing I thought this was perfect and it gave me some ideas on what to look for next time. I highly recommend the Murphy and John was super nice/thorough/communicative.

The Murphy travel trailer is not suitable to rent. There are so many things wrong with this unit. Its been trashed over the last two years, and the owner does not repair or replace the broken items. We had a serious problem with the plumbing which caused urine to spill out from under the toilet when it was being towed. Its obvious a pipe is broken that allows urine to collect while parked. I knew something was up when I counted 14 air freshners hanging in the 20 foot trailer when I picked it up. The owner knew/knows about it but is not fixing it. We got urine all over our belongings on the floor when we towed the trailer. IT HAS NOW BEEN FOUR WEEKS SINCE I SUBMITTED THE COMPLAINT TO OUTDOORSY. No progress has been made and I feel like I paid $1,100 to rent a defective port-a-potty. BEWARE!! It was an absolute nightmare and Outdoorsy is not supporting their customers.
Also, the tags were out on the trailer. John put us on the road in a trailer that wasnt street legal. He didnt respond to my messages before we hit the road when I tried to get new tags from him. Obviously he didnt have them and told me 7 hours later that he would make it right if we got a ticket. He gave us plenty of time to get out of town before responding to my message. All other pre trip messages were returned by him within 10 minutes, but that particular message didnt get a response for 7 hours.

John was so easy to work with and very helpful and thorough explaining how to operate the RV. As first-timers, he gave us the confidence to hit the road without any worries and just relax and enjoy our trip! We will definitely look to repeat this experience in the future!
