About Mark and Heather Gorman
We rented our first RV to watch the solar eclipse in 2018. It was such a wonderful experience, we bought our own when we got back to Arizona.

We rented a 2008 29 ft thor majestic from mark&heather. Myself, wife and oldest son ,who just retired from the military, to go see family in Minnesota and our youngest son’s wedding in Pennsylvania. We drove from camp verde,az , to Inver grove heights, mn, to soaring eagle camp grounds in equinuck, pa, back to camp verde ,az. Total of 5183 miles. Every thing worked great. The rv was very easy to drive, and for as big as it is ,was very easy driving thru places like Kansas City during rush hour. Not smart on my part ,but it worked out. As far as I know , this is their oldest rv , so if the old one runs this well on that long of a trip, I’m petty sure their newer rv’s are running at top performance. Mark and Heather have a very well run rv business and take pride in their rv’s. I recommend Over the Moon rentals to all who want a great rv experience. Thank you ,Mark andHeather for everything. Despite a few hiccups, we had an absolutely wonderful time! Mark and Heather were responsive and helpful which made the process even smoother. The RV was clean and the perfect size for our family. The RV came stocked with utensils, bedding, a few basic pots/pans and dishes so we didnt have to bring those. They had so many extras that we could add on like camp chairs, an outdoor table, a coffee pot... they really make it easy to want to rent again.

Tires were not balanced so you knew when you hit 70 mph without looking at the speedometer - not as enjoyable as it could have been for 3500 miles. Should be an easy fix for the next rental.

It was a mixed trip. While we got to see many of the sites that we wanted to, we were definitely misled in regards to the condition of the RV we rented and that prevented us from getting to all of the sites that we had planned. Mark and Heather knew of our aggressive agenda but never let on about some details of the RV that we were renting from them. To begin with, I was told that the dash air conditioning worked well enough to keep the whole RV cool, especially once we got out of Phoenix. That was quickly dispelled as we sweated our way up to the Grand Canyon and then overnight when it was too hot to sleep very much. The dash AC also would stop pushing cool air out of the vents whenever we had to push the gas pedal down to accelerate or go uphill. The generator would not start that night but it was way too late to contact Mark and Heather once we finally stopped to rest and noticed it. With my agenda we still pushed forward after about three hours of sleep to see the Horseshoe Canyon and then Bryce Canyon and after hiking through Bryce Canyon, we headed towards Las Vegas to see the lights. Even at night, we continued to be too hot to really sleep well even running the dash AC on full. This continued through the whole trip. We finally got in touch with Mark two days later and he walked me through some troubleshooting on the generator and I was able to get it started. It did help although I was told not to run the generator for more than 4 hours at any time and not to run it while sleeping as it could kill us in our sleep due to CO2 poisoning.
This allowed us to get better sleep at night as I could cool off the RV by running the generator and ceiling AC for about an hour after stopping before turning it off and running the engine and dash AC for the rest of the night. Not ideal but better than the first few nights. We were also farther north in Idaho, Yellowstone, and Wyoming which meant the hour of generator powered AC helped cool the RV.
After one week we started having tire issues and we had to slow down more and more until we got into Salt Lake City where I called Mark and he had me get the tires checked out and then replaced once it was discovered there was tread separation. I have mixed feelings here as Mark had no hesitation with replacing both front tires and was much more concerned with our safety than anything else. On the other hand, I couldn't figure out why there was tread separation and overheard the tire technician asking Mark why he had "Walmart quality" tires on his RV which made me think they were very cheap tires to begin with. Again, Mark got both front tires replaced right away and we only lost about half a day more.
After spending the next morning in Purgatory, I tried getting my family to the Petrified Forest but the RV rocked and shaken so much on our way through New Mexico that I had to drop about 15-30 miles per hour under the speed limit in order to stop it from bouncing off of the road. That was enough to cause us to miss the Petrified Forest National Park as we got there 10 minutes after it closed.
Being back in Arizona I headed to Flagstaff where the altitude would help us to sleep by allowing the RV to get cooler than elsewhere in the state. Even running the generator and AC for 2 hours was not enough to get the RV cool in Flagstaff so I decided to just return the RV and rent a car in order to try to see the rest of the things we wanted to. That also meant having to rent hotel rooms but we would not have been able to handle the heat of Arizona or New Mexico which was where the rest of our trip was planned, in that RV.
Also, the pictures of the RV were misleading. No dash pictures which was good since there is a big wire sticking out of it. They also had a CD player but the RV bounced around enough that it kept skipping and possibly scratching our CDs.

Absolutely awesome! The RV was a breeze to drive and comfortable to stay in. It was easy to hook up and unhook, use the water tanks, water heater, and so on. We will rent from Mark and Heather again.

After another host cancelled our booking the day we were supposed to pick up, Mark and Heather came through last minute and saved the day! They responded quickly and thoroughly and the camper that we rented was everything they said it would be. It worked perfectly for our family! They’re both very knowledgeable, friendly and flexible. We’re very grateful to them and will rent from them again in the future!
