Carlos vantana was everything we needed. The bed is super comfortable, best sleep I had in Hawai'i ! Check out Kapa'a campground for whale watching!!

The rv was the PERFECT fit for us to enjoy 3 weeks on the Big Island.
The host (MJ) was outstanding with communication and supplying us with everything we could possibly need.

We had a great trip on the island with Carlos! Spacious, all the amenities we needed, and the host couple were so flexible and kind. Can't wait to come back. Mahalo!!

Jeffrey was responsive and kind and the bed and pillows were very comfortable, however the vehicle needs some work for the price point. The sliding door needed to be slammed to close and didn’t easily open from the inside. Often times we would just crawl in and out of the front seat so we wouldn’t have to deal with the sliding door. The transmission occasionally slipped and made us nervous while driving around the island, especially uphill. There’s no power or water in the vehicle so we were very limited on charging our devices and clean up. We did buy our own cups/bowls because none were provided. There was a cooler but obviously we had to buy ice daily because of no power. The window covers were poorly fitted so we often felt exposed, especially at night. We rented a different Outdoorsy van on Kauai for a lower price point that had all these amenities and much more. It did make us feel slightly taken advantage of in this rental. Read the description very carefully and adjust your expectations accordingly.

Carlos and I had a great time together! The hosts were great, the bed was comfortable and the driving was fun. I have no complaints. The van was thoughtfully outfitted with necessities and more, like a cooler, toilet paper, kitchen supplies, etc. Be aware that Carlos is a big boy! You may not want to rent if you wouldn’t feel comfortable driving/parking a big ‘ol van; it’s bigger than your standard delivery van. More like an RV size. Also, the bed was the right size for me, but I’m 5 feet, four inches (62 cm). It may be small for someone who is tall.

This van was everything we needed for a quick 3 day trip, driving the WHOLE island! The hosts are so thoughtful and provide everything you need down to the cooking supplies. We didn’t get a chance to use everything, but we appreciated the mosquito net + night lights for two awesome nights of camping. Would recommend this van to anyone who wants the best time for the best price :)

Really great van. Had lots of extras to aid our trip. Sunblock, towels etc. the van is just the right amount of used to not worry too much about storing surfboards and gear.
