The RV trailer that I rented was overwhelming loaded with problems. The main one being the refrigerator malfunctioning. the first four days it did not work well or not at all. I had meds that were hot to touch when they were to be refrigerated. I had to travel home to replace them. All of my refrigerated food spoiled. No cold water in the refrigerator. I was told by host I should have bought ice for my small coolers to keep the food. They never offered apologies for the difficulties. I was replied to as if the events did not occur and I was just a complainer. I just became tired of babysitting their trailer.I planned this trip last year to a church camp for my three grandkids. It was almost totally ruined. We almost packed up and went home early. The leveling equipment on the trailer was not put down and I did not understand the functioning of all the equipment. When the husband owner showed up to pickup the trailer he put the leveling equipment down and the the right side of the leveler did not touch the ground. It appeared damaged. I rented and requested delivery and set-up because I do not have expertise in this area. The front bedroom area air conditioner stopped working on the 3nd day we were there. It was because of the volunteer services of the church staff including a pastor/licensed electrician; the aid and assistance of a security guard who also had a trailer parked there and several campground maintenance men that we were finally able to get everything working so we could complete our stay to the end of the camp.We paid for that parking spot we wanted to participate in the children's activities for the summer. I had to have the added expense of purchasing cafeteria tickets for me and the 3 children to eat totaling $340.00. I did not want to purchase more food that could possibly spoil again. We rocked and shook due to the wind blowing at times the trailer from side to side. It was hard to sleep soundly like that. If fact it frightened my older granddaughter one night where we did not sleep until 3am the next morning. There was pet hair in the pull out couch which may have caused the congestion and sneezing at times for the children. They did not have allergies to my knowledge prior to this. The front door screen was missing and I was not told until I showed up to occupy the unit. The screen door did not lock to the outside door and would swing in and out when the outside door was opened. The awning was torn and unable to be opened. I was also told this upon my arrival. None of this was revealed prior to the rental. The owners did come to the unit 3 times but after they left nothing remained in operation as promised. The owners did not tell me until I waited to check out with them that I could have made a claim for the non-functioning of the items in the unit. It would appear that they did not want anyone else to work on their unit as they may of known of these issues before hand.I offered to have them communicate with the staff and licensed electrician even giving contact information of the pastor. They never called the pastor for his input on these matters nor attempted to contact the camp staff for their input in these matters. Well my grandkids and I survived and completed the camp. Those around who also came to my moral support asked the name of the company with the rental and the name of the owners. I told them especially when they saw me outside the unit crying on Monday, July 15, 2024 when I found out the refrigerator was out again and the front air conditioner was not working.Well I am very sorry these things occurred and for the poor communication between and the owners and myself. However, I feel the owners do not need to rent this unit again until they can do some much needed repairs. Diane Russell
