George was easy to deal with and made this an enjoyable trip. The rental was in great shape with everything working. It did come with a pretty nice array of cooking equipment, and we did use our own bedding.I especially appreciated that George’s ad was one of the very few on this site to ACCURATELY list his trailer empty (4,745 lbs) and max loaded weights (6,000 lbs). This made it very easy to know that my truck was able to pull his trailer safely. George also clearly stated that he was supplying everything for the hitch with the exception of the brake controller on the tow vehicle, so you just needed the 2” square receiver. The Blue Ox weight distributing hitch worked well and kept the rear end of my truck from sagging. The trailer towed well with minimal sway, and the electric brakes worked well. It did come with two stinky slinkies, some plastic load pads, the 30 amp power cord, and a 115 V adapter. Important as it was hot outside, so easy to plug in at home to 115 V outlet while loading trailer to get the fridge to cool down and run the roof a/c unit. What was not supplied was any potable fresh water drinking rated hose to connect to a water supply, or to fill the water tank. Thought that was odd as most renters probably do not own such a hose. Glad I thought to take a hose with us to fill the water tank at the campground. The trailer did not have any extra blocking to use to level the trailer side to side. Anyone who has ever been to a PA state park knows the sites are not very level, and lots of extra blocking is required. Since we knew it, I took some of the 2x6 lumber I had laying around with me and it worked out fine at our site (used 3 2x6x5’ boards stacked on top of each other to get the side/side level).George also gave us a Furion S rear camera monitor for inside the truck. Automatically connects to camera on back of trailer when you turned the truck headlights on. It allows you to see anything behind you (easy to make lane changes when needed), and is VERY useful for backing up or into a site. Nice touch George! We would rent this trailer from George again.Interesting Note: Of the 14 trailers I was considering renting on this site, only 2 owners accurately listed their trailer max loaded weight (thank you George!). All the rest listed the manufacturer EMPTY trailer weight number as the MAX loaded trailer weight, which took a bit of doing to verify by looking up the manufacturer’s model number spec sheets. While the empty weights were within my truck tow rating, most of those true max loaded weights from manufacturer were actually quite a bit more than what my truck was rated to pull, so those listings were very much false/inaccurate listings for such a critical safety value. I feel sorry for anyone who rents from those owners.
