Mandy’s 1975 Airstream Argosy is perfect snapshot of RV life of the past mixed with lots of modern amenities and updates. My wife and I wanted to take our 3-year-old on his first camping trip, and we thought this would be a perfect size and style to venture out with. She has put a lot of work into renovating this Airstream, replacing the gas with all-electric heat, new flooring, a large refrigerator, smart TV, and more.Mandy was a wonderful host/renter, and was very attentive to making sure we had what we needed for our trip. We stayed at a campground near her, and so she was happy to do the drop-off and pick-up for us, so we didn’t even have to tow anywhere. It was set-up and ready for us from the minute we arrived at the campground, including a rug, camp chairs, and cart table. She also supplied a Clam tent for us to use, which was much appreciated because we had rain for the first couple of days that we were there. The size of this Airstream was cozy, if not a little tight, but I’m also 6’2” and I guess people weren’t as big back in the 70s, haha. Seriously, though, the size was just right for the three of us. Any smaller would have been uncomfortable, and any bigger would have been more space than needed for a weekend camping trip.A few snags along the way, with weather issues and us trying to figure out if we’re “camping people” at this point, but Mandy made our first Outdoorsy experience really easy. We were also her very first rental of this camper, and she’ll hopefully have continued success with it in the future.
