Open road RV was Awesome. The RV was great and Donna was tremendous to deal with. Have been renting RV's around the country for 35 years and Open Road RV was by far the easiest and most accommodating I've ever dealt with. Highly recommended!!

It was such a pleasant experience renting from Donna! She was very accommodating to my flight schedule and was flexible on RV Pickup/Dropoff times. She was also readily available to answer all the questions I had before and during my trip.

We loved our holiday in our rented RV. We are a family of 4 and found that everything was provided for our 5 night stay. Pick up was easy and we were given a well explained tour around before setting off.

The R.V we reserved way in advance was suddenly unavailable one week before our trip. There were 2 other options, one of which was already reserved for part of our reserved time. The couple running the place were unprofessional. They were ill prepared when we arrived at our appointed time and not even there when we dropped it off.....at our appointed time. We found old food beneath the blankets and in the console. There were dangerous electrical shorts that they didn't even care to discuss when we got back. The seals were shot on the slide out. Costs were not straight forward. "Free" miles were not free.

Firstly, I am very sorry for your unhappiness. We would like to answer your concerns.
1. The RV you had originally reserved was with a family who had a house fire, and we had this unit with them since January and they needed an extension of time. Therefore, it was not available, and we gave you the option to rent our other unit.
2.We are not sure why we are considered "unprofessional". We were able to provide you with another unit. We sent you a VIDEO about this unit and spent time with you going over the RV the day of the rental. We even gave you 5% off your rental due to the inconvenience.
3. As far as the return, we ask each renter to call or text us 30 mins to an hour in advance before the return. If we are not available to be there, we walk you through via phone where to leave the keys. We usually need 24 to 48 hours to thoroughly to have it checked in.
4.You mentioned the wires under the motorized steps. This is something we were not aware of and must of happen during the time of the rental.
5. The food in the blankets may have been overlooked and we apologize for that concern. However, I do want to mention that we found dog food and dog hair when it was returned, and we DO Not allow pets in these RVS. It's on the Website. Also, we did not charge this renter for the excessive salt and snow debris when returned.
6. The mileage charge is explained on the website. Also, we go over that to the renter as well. (100 miles per day "free miles"... anything over .49 )
We DO want to thank you for your pointing out issues about our RV and we can now address them before our next rental.
