About Prestige Worldwide Camping

Hello Renters! I am Jack Vaughn, the co-partner of Prestige Worldwide Camping and son of Jeffrey Vaughn! In early 2020, we decided to go camping for a weekend. We rented from Outdoorsy, and went to Moab, Utah. The experience was amazing, so we decided to start a business of our own. We loved the convenience Outdoorsy provided us with our experience, so we decided to start our business using their platform. As we searched for a good first trailer, we stumbled upon a custom-built teardrop and knew that that was the perfect fit. This trailer soon became a father-son project. After a successful year of renting, we used the money made to invest in forming a business. After shuffling around trailers, seeing what works best in the market, we have established a solid lineup of trailers! We hope to expand this business every year, and grow our fleet of trailers. I recently spent some time in this Sprinter van, exploring the landscapes of Utah and Arizona. While it took some getting used to, I ultimately had a great experience.One thing to keep in mind is that the van has some quirks and limitations.The cracked front window creates a serious glare in the desert sun, making it challenging to drive during the day. Additionally, the cruise control doesn't work at night, and the automatic high beams can be overly sensitive. But more importantly, I want to caution that traveling at night in this van is not recommended. The limitations are severe, and it can be a real challenge to drive safely.I also found that the solar panel isn't powerful enough to run the air conditioning, so you'll need to plan your energy usage accordingly.There are also some repairs that need to be addressed, such as the damaged side window, and the rear ladder, which has some damage and wobbles a bit when driving. Additionally, the sink's drainage system requires manual operation, and there's no window cover for the front windshield.Furthermore, I had a bit of a setback when I was pulled over due to a license plate cover that obstructed the plate. This led to a traffic stop, which unfortunately made me miss my dinner plans. It's an easy fix, but it's something to be aware of.On a related note, it's worth mentioning that you can't leave the water pump on when not in use, which can be inconvenient since the switch is located at the very back of the van. This requires a bit of extra planning and attention to ensure you're not wasting water or energy.Despite these issues, I found the van's power system and amenities to be easy to use. With a little patience and understanding, I was able to settle in and enjoy my time on the road.If you're considering renting this van, I'd recommend taking some time to get familiar with its unique characteristics.With the right mindset and expectations, you can have a great time exploring the American Southwest during the day.

This trailer was perfect for our family of five. It was clean and comfortable. PIck up and drop off went smoothly and they accommodated us happily when we accidentally showed up early. All of the accommodations and easy cleanup made the trip easy and added to the fun!

We had a great experience with our hosts and the vehicle. Picking up the van was easy, and they worked with us during our flight times. We camped three nights in Moab and explored Arches, Canyonlands, and Capital Reef. The van was easy to drive and park and had all the accommodations we needed and more! There was also plenty of storage for luggage and souvenirs we bought along the way!

We had a fab experience renting from Jeff and Jack! Communication was brilliant, we were travelling to the US from the UK and felt at ease booking prior to our travel. This was our first experience with a camper van and we really enjoyed it! So nice to have protection when the wind, rain, and lightning came through. Very comfortable bed. Nice to have a sink and stove and fridge—awesome conveniences when camping. Internal battery/inverter was great—we charged a phone and had a fan on all night.
